INTRODUCTIONeThis year marks the 5th edition of the Lisbon International Orchid Show, which will take place on the last weekend of September (27th to 29th) at the Mercado do Forno do Tijolo in the parish of Arroios, as in the previous year.
This edition brings a diversified offer of national and international sellers of orchids, which will present us plants of the four corners of the world. In addition to orchids, a selection of other plants for sale will also be represented in this edition, namely bromeliads, cactus and succulents. Our visitors can also get to know some original products produced from orchids, in the form of chocolates, jellies, liquors, and jewels. As in the previous edition, visitors can also count on the presence of other partner associations, namely the Portuguese Association of Carnivorous Plants (Associação Portuguesa de Plantas Carnívoras) Our lectures and demonstrations will focus pertinent themes for different levels of cultivation, in order to meet the needs of a varied, increasingly demanding and informed public. Please visit the exhibit of the associates’ plants, which promises not to defraud expectations, despite the success of last year's exhibition. In addition, the Lisbon City Hall collection of orchids, with its specimens with over 40 years old, will be present in this edition, as well. Come and visit us, participate, get involved and be dazzled by the multiplicity of the offer of this exhibition, which has everything that an orchid lover needs to improve their collection and knowledge. Taking in consideration our previous shows, we are working hard not to disappoint the expectations of our visitors and to bring some novelties to this edition.
